Invoke & Imbibe

My work for Invoke & Imbibe channels the radiant, untamed spirit of the Maenads through movement, ritual, and mythic symbolism. Dancing Through Dreamlight captures the transcendence of joy as a force, lifting us into the realm of the divine. In Muse in Motion, the body becomes a vessel of pure, ecstatic expression. Vine and Vessel evokes communion and sisterhood, where sensuality and sacred rites intertwine.

Each painting is a celebration of feminine energy—fluid, fierce, and unapologetically alive. I use soft, luminous washes to summon a dreamlike atmosphere where transformation unfolds not as a concept, but as a lived, felt experience. Through these works, I invite the viewer to revel in beauty, abandon, and the quiet power of inner awakening.

Golden Hour

This painting is a tribute to the warm, fleeting moments of childhood—those timeless days spent with my parents and younger sisters, gathered in the park overlooking the Hudson River. We would pause together as the sun dipped low, casting everything in gold—the trees, the water, our faces.

In this piece, I tried to capture the way that light wraps around those we love, how sunsets can make even an ordinary evening unforgettable. The bridge in the background was always part of the view, a silent presence linking one place to another, just as love links one generation to the next.

Golden Hour is both a personal reflection and an offering—a reminder of how community begins in these small, tender moments with family, in the places we return to through our memories.

Dog Portraits

Dogs have always held a sacred, joyful space in my life—as companions, muses, and quiet mirrors of our own emotions. In this ongoing watercolor series, I celebrate the distinct beauty, personality, and spirit of different dog breeds, with a special focus on my own beloved companions.

Each portrait is an intimate study, not just of form and fur, but of presence. Watercolor’s fluidity allows me to capture the softness of a gaze, the flick of an ear, or the dignified curve of a hound’s stance. The medium’s unpredictability mirrors the essence of dogs themselves—playful, soulful, and alive in the moment.

Painting my own dogs is both a tender act of devotion and a way to archive our bond. Through layered washes and delicate detail, I seek to honor the quirks, loyalty, and quiet wisdom they bring into my world.

This series is a love letter to dogs—their diversity, their charm, and their enduring companionship. I hope these portraits invite you to pause, smile, and perhaps see your own furry friends reflected in their painted eyes.

DREAMS: Postcards from the Soul

Dreams are postcards from our souls. While we sleep, our dreams become passageways to other dimensions, where the soul roams free. When we wake, fragments of the journey return to our consciousness as visual imagery and symbolic language. They are keepsakes from our dream journey, postcards from the soul.

For the art exhibition Dreams: Postcards from the Soul, I submitted three dreams—one of which was my first lucid dream, where I flew through the sky with balloons tied to my arms and legs. That moment of wonder sparked Dreamspired, a project where I collected and illustrated dreams and created a guide filled with dream-related resources.

Empire of the Gods

My work explores the mythic architecture of the feminine divine, those liminal moments where spirit, power, and transformation converge. In Coronation, a sacred stillness takes hold as a cosmic sovereign accepts her celestial calling. Draped in twilight and crowned with light, she embodies ancestral wisdom and inner authority. This piece speaks to the quiet ceremony of ascension, where the unseen world yields to divine presence.

Ascension presents a radiant being rising through ether and light. She is not bound by myth or name, but exists as an eternal archetype: warm, luminous, and transcendent. Her essence conveys rebirth and inner alchemy: the soft, potent force that inspires creation.

Together, these works honor the eternal cycle of becoming where the divine feminine emerges, not through spectacle, but through presence, light, and reverence.

Under the Three-Faced Moon

Luna evokes the energy of the Maiden: youthful, innocent, and connected to cycles of growth and becoming. The moonlike halo and flowers symbolize renewal and the sacred rhythms of nature, while her closed eyes suggest inner peace and reflection. By combining painting with natural elements and gold leaf, I wanted to honor the Maiden as part of the larger cycle of the Three-Faced Moon.

Cultura Viva

My work is inspired by my Puerto Rican roots and my last trip to Old San Juan. Born and raised in New York, I have always felt a strong connection to Puerto Rico, where my family is from. I carry the traditions with me through language, food, and art.

The self-portrait, titled Boricua, is a celebration of identity, an affirmation of where I come from and the pride I hold in my culture. The other pieces reference iconic imagery of Old San Juan: its colorful architecture, historic doorways, and the watchtower of El Morro. I approached these scenes like a scrapbook or a collection of postcards, each one holding a fragment of a memory from my visit.

Watercolor and pastel pencil felt like the right media for this series because of their fluidity, texture, and ability to capture both vibrancy and nostalgia. The addition of gold leaf throughout the work symbolizes the richness of the island, its resilience and enduring beauty.

Through this series, I hope to honor Puerto Rico’s spirit while reflecting on the ways heritage travels with us, shaping our identities no matter where we live.

Dreams are postcards from our souls. While we sleep, our dreams become passageways to other dimensions, where the soul roams free. When we wake, fragments of the journey return to our consciousness as visual imagery and symbolic language. They are keepsakes from our dream journey, postcards from the soul.

The art exhibition, Dreams: Postcards from the Soul, invites viewers to embark on a journey through the mysterious and profound realm of dreams. This collection features a series of visual imagery paintings, dialogue, poetry, and multimedia works that explore the concept of dreams as messages—or "postcards"—sent to us from the depths of our own souls. Each artwork serves as a visual representation of the subconscious mind, filled with symbols, emotions, and narratives that bridge the gap between the conscious and the unconscious.

To understand this exhibition, one must first contemplate the definition of the word “interiors”. On a basic level this word refers to the spaces we live in, a home that has rooms consisting of four walls, windows and doors. If you ask a child to draw a room interior, in most cases this is what you will get. However, the meaning of ‘interiors’ is not an easy concept to isolate as it encompasses a broad sphere of emotional experiences, sensory perceptions, memories and feelings of nostalgia.

The works selected for this exhibition not only fulfill the basic idea of what an interior is but go beyond this concept due to how each artist approaches these spaces – as seen through unique interior or exterior vantage points. These works are not simply documents of what one holds dear in interior spaces but records a sense of life; a sense of being; and a sense of place.

Taken as a whole, this exhibition is meant to be a visual investigation into beauty, personal narrative, and memory. These paintings, mixed media pieces, and photographs provide one with a sense of humor, power, weakness, and mystery. As a viewer, you are asked to consider an entire range of visual and emotional experiences that room interiors invoke in each of us and then relate these experiences to one’s personal space.

”Under the Three-Faced Moon” is a group exhibition centering on the sacred triad of the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. Inspired by esoteric iconography, participating women and non-binary artists reimagine these archetypes through their own lived experiences, spiritual inquiries, and creative power. Through painting, sculpture, ritual objects, installation, and performance, the show explores how identity evolves through cycles of age, body, grief, fertility, intuition, and rebirth.

Cultura Viva honors the many contributions of Hispanic peoples in the Hudson Valley. The exhibition brings together artists of Hispanic heritage and others inspired by Hispanic culture, highlighting the richness and diversity of these influences. Here, artists at every stage of their careers share space with vernacular photography and self-taught practices alongside the work of trained professionals. Together, they reveal a living culture—dynamic, resilient, and continually reshaped through memory, creativity, and community.
